Cliques. the only thing harder then getting in, is staying in. in this book Massie Block, & her friends, Alicia Rivera, Kristen Gregory, Dylan Marvil, & Claire Lyons form the ultra-exclusive Pretty Committee at their all-girls school. they attend Octavian Country Day School in Westchester, New York. At the beginning of the Pretty Committee's 7th grade year Alicia returns from her annual summer trip to Spain she brings back her cousin Nina. Nina came to America to attend school although she is a year older then the Pretty Committee so they hopefully won't see a lot of each other. Massie remembers Nina from past years and knows full well that she is a total LBR (Loser Beyond Repair) but when Nina makes her grand entrance Massie realizes that Nina is a threat to Massie's alpha status. Nina immediately has all of the guys at the nearby all boys school, Briarwood, drooling over her. Then all of the girls at OCD are begging Nina for advice and totally dissing Massie.
Then showing the true alpha she is Massie plots a revenge plan to take down Nina once and for all, and send her back to Spain where she belongs, so that Massie can resume her rightful place as the Alpha of OCD.
